Rental Generators (Canada)

All land-based rental generators are built to withstand the harshest environmental conditions with sound-attenuated enclosures. Units are designed with heavy-duty oilfield skids, walk-in enclosures with spill containment, and interior lighting. Trailer-mount towable generators are also available.

Rental Generators

NOV Portable Power offers a variety of rental generators for multiple industries, including oil and gas, camps, construction, forestry, farming, power generation, and standby applications. Our units range in size from 20 kW to 1,250 kW, can supply voltages from 208 volts to 600 volts, and come in skidded or trailered configurations. Diesel and natural gas units are available.

Oilfield Rental Generators

Our oilfield rental generators are housed in spacious buildings on robust winchable skids. Each unit is equipped with multiple power receptacles to run a variety of equipment, often with various voltages available. Most units feature large onboard fuel tanks for extended operation.

Trailered Rental Generators

We offer trailered rental generators from 100 kW to 300 kW, including tight enclosure and covered trailer configurations. All units feature large onboard fuel tanks for extended run times.

Natural Gas Rental Generators

Our natural gas rental generators range from 125 kW to 250 kW. All units are installed in sound-attenuated skidded buildings.

Temporary Power Electrical Distribution Equipment

We rent a diverse selection of temporary power electrical distribution equipment, including distribution panels, transfer switches, transformers, common bus systems, and cables. Our standardized packages are mounted on sturdy metal frames for secure handling and transportation. We also provide customized packages tailored to meet your specific needs, whether you require a few receptacles or solutions for distribution centers/power stations operating across multiple voltages.

Fuel Tanks

Our fuel tanks—free-standing or mounted on a winchable skid—range in size from 2,000 liters to 50,000 liters. We also offer optional fuel lines to connect the tank to the load.

Light Towers

We supply light towers for a wide range of lighting applications. Our 8-kW light towers can be fitted with LED lights or metal halide bulbs. Each light tower includes hydraulic masts and fork pockets, ensuring easy mobility around the site.

Our Portable Power–Canada group supports our generator rentals throughout Alberta, B.C., NWT, and Saskatchewan with a team of highly qualified mechanics and electricians. Technicians are available 24/7. Our services include prejob surveys, commissioning startup, decommissioning, training, trucking, and regular maintenance services.
