The Agitator™ System enhances drilling efficiency by reducing friction through axial oscillations imparted to the drillstring. Its effectiveness is influenced by the reach of these oscillations, which propagate both uphole and downhole, decreasing in intensity in a non-linear manner as they extend farther from the source of agitation. The AgitatorX2, a robust, dual Agitator system, extends the range of agitation and further enhances drilling efficiency.
Proper placement of each Agitator is critical to achieving optimal performance. Agitators placed too close together may interfere with each other, while those positioned too far apart may leave an extensive pipe section with significant friction. NOV has the expertise and superior software to accurately model the most effective tool placement, as supported by a proven track record of successful AgitatorX2 operations.
