The heroes at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center give hope and comfort to thousands of patients each year, from all over the world. Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center is an internationally recognized center of excellence for pediatric cancer care and research, and it is the largest pediatric cancer and blood disease program in the United States.

Located within Texas Children’s Hospital, the facilities are totally dedicated, equipped, and staffed to care for children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders. Here, in 21 different research labs, the physician-scientists conduct breakthrough laboratory and clinical research aimed at developing new treatments so that all children with cancer will be cured. This year, over 31,000 patients will be seen in the center’s outpatient clinic. They’ll come from all over Texas, from 35 other states and from 26 other countries. No patient is denied treatment, regardless of their ability to pay.

The snowdrop is the first flower to bloom in the spring, even blooming when snow is still on the ground. It is a hearty flower, nearly indestructible by nature. Childhood cancer patients demonstrate indestructible attitudes and spirit while battling the life-threatening illness of childhood cancer. Named for the indestructible flower, Snowdrop Foundation provides scholarships for college-bound pediatric cancer patients and childhood survivors while raising awareness and funding for continued research to cure childhood cancer. Their donations are designated to four specific areas: Snowdrop Scholarship Program, Teen Program, Research, and Awareness.
