To avoid unplanned production shutdown, it is vital for operators to get the information they want, when they want it, about system configuration integrity and the condition of the individual pipe.
Our OptiFlex™ condition monitoring system offers the option of embedding fiber-optical monitoring systems into the flexible pipes. These systems offer continuous measurements of temperature along the entire flexible pipe length and of fatigue in the upper part of the flexible riser.
All measurements have time and position stamps for quick and accurate detection of changes beyond the design criteria.
OptiFlex condition monitoring detects:
- Hot spots
- Breaches (position and time)
- Position control of external mounted accessories
- Control of remaining fatigue life
- Ancillary device failure
- Aged internal sheath
Subsea Monitoring Services
We offer the option to embed fiber-optical monitoring into new flexible risers and flowlines to reduce costly maintenance or ROV inspections. The OptiFlex system enables continuous integrity monitoring along the entire pipe length as well as measurement of fatigue in the upper part of the flexible riser.
